About Everybody Connects

Better technology can help good organizations do even more good.

Everybody Connects is a nonprofit organization that helps other nonprofits overcome technology challenges, strengthen their organizations, and focus more of their resources on the communities and missions they serve.

Stronger Nonprofits, Brighter Communities.

Why we exist

Technology should be a tool for impact—not a barrier to it.

A nonprofit's ability to use good technology shouldn't depend entirely on the size of its technology budget.

Technology plays an increasingly important role in how nonprofit organizations communicate, collaborate, raise funds, protect information, reach supporters, and deliver services.

But access to technology expertise isn't equal.

Smaller and growing nonprofits may not have dedicated IT staff, web developers, security professionals, or large technology budgets. That can leave organizations spending valuable time struggling with technology instead of focusing on the work they were created to do.

Everybody Connects exists to help close that gap.

We provide practical technology assistance while helping organizations make better use of the resources already available to them.

The idea

There are organizations that need help. There are people who know how to help. We connect them.

The name Everybody Connects represents more than technology.

It represents the connection between nonprofit organizations and the people, skills, businesses, volunteers, and resources that can help them succeed.

  • A nonprofit may need a better website.
  • A technology professional may have skills they're willing to contribute.
  • A business may be able to donate services or resources.
  • A supporter may help fund a project.

Everybody Connects brings those pieces together.

Our approach

Start with the mission. Then solve the technology.

  1. Principle 1: Listen First

Technology isn't the starting point—the organization's need is.

We begin by understanding the challenge, the people involved, and what the organization is trying to accomplish.

  2. Principle 2: Keep It Practical

The most complicated solution isn't always the best solution.

We look for technology that makes sense for the organization's size, resources, capabilities, and goals.

  3. Principle 3: Make Technology Accessible

Organizations shouldn't need a large IT department just to use technology effectively.

We explain options clearly and avoid unnecessary technical complexity.

  4. Principle 4: Build for the Future

Whenever possible, solutions should be manageable, sustainable, and able to grow alongside the organization.

Technology help with a different model

Contribution shouldn't determine whether you're allowed to ask for help.

Everybody Connects provides qualifying nonprofit technology services using a donation-based model.

Organizations are encouraged to contribute toward services when they're able to. Those contributions help Everybody Connects continue assisting other organizations.

But we understand that nonprofit budgets vary significantly. An organization with limited resources should still be able to tell us what it needs.

Need comes first. Contribution comes second.

Every request is evaluated individually based on the organization's needs, project scope, and the resources available to Everybody Connects.

Who we serve

Technology help for organizations working toward something bigger.

Everybody Connects primarily supports nonprofit and mission-driven organizations that need technology assistance but may not have all the expertise or resources available internally.

  • Nonprofit Organizations

Established organizations looking to improve, maintain, secure, or modernize their technology.

  • Growing Organizations

Organizations whose technology needs are changing as their teams, programs, supporters, or communities grow.

  • Emerging Organizations

New and developing mission-driven organizations working to establish a strong technology foundation.

Project eligibility and availability are evaluated individually.

People power the mission

Technology expertise can become community impact.

Everybody Connects isn't only about organizations receiving help. It's also about giving people an opportunity to use what they know to help someone else.

Technology professionals, designers, developers, security specialists, marketers, business professionals, and other skilled volunteers can contribute expertise that might otherwise be out of reach for a nonprofit organization.

Businesses can contribute professional services, resources, technology, and expertise. Supporters can help fund the work.

Together, those contributions can help nonprofits spend more of their time and resources on their missions.

What you can expect from us

Everybody Connects evaluates technology requests individually. Our ability to assist depends on the type of project, available expertise, project scope, timing, and organizational resources.

We won't always be the right solution for every technology problem.

When we're able to help, our goal is to communicate clearly, recommend practical solutions, and work collaboratively with your organization.

When a request falls outside our capabilities, we'll be straightforward about that too.

Everybody has something to contribute. Everybody deserves the opportunity to connect.

Whether your organization needs technology help or you have skills and resources to share, there's a place to start.
