Website Design & Development

A better website can help more people connect with your mission.

Your website is often where supporters, volunteers, donors, partners, and the people you serve first experience your organization.

Everybody Connects helps nonprofits create modern, accessible, and practical websites designed around their missions—not around unnecessary technology.

Your organization shouldn't need a web development team to have a website that works.

Websites with purpose

Your website should make your mission easier to understand—and easier to support.

We start with what your organization needs the website to accomplish. The technology comes second.

A nonprofit website has a lot of work to do.

It may need to explain your mission, communicate programs, collect donations, recruit volunteers, share resources, promote events, connect people with services, and establish trust with your community.

When the website is difficult to update, slow, outdated, confusing, inaccessible, or unreliable, it can become another obstacle for the organization.

Everybody Connects helps nonprofits improve that experience.

How we can help

From a brand-new website to improving the one you already have.

New Website Design & Development

Starting something new? Let's build the right foundation.

Everybody Connects can help nonprofits plan and build websites around their mission, audiences, content, and organizational goals.

The goal isn't simply to launch a website. It's to create something your organization can actually use.

Potential work may include

  • Website planning
  • Information architecture
  • Navigation
  • Responsive design
  • Website development
  • Content organization
  • Forms
  • Donation integrations
  • Volunteer pathways
  • Event or program information
  • Accessibility foundations
  • Analytics setup
  • Search engine foundations

Website Redesign & Modernization

Your organization may have changed. Your website should keep up.

An existing website doesn't always need to be thrown away.

Sometimes the right approach is to improve its structure, design, usability, accessibility, performance, or content.

Potential improvements include

  • Visual modernization
  • Navigation improvements
  • Mobile usability
  • Content restructuring
  • Accessibility
  • Performance
  • Calls to action
  • Donation pathways
  • Volunteer pathways
  • Forms
  • Search visibility
  • Easier content management

Website Migrations

Move forward without leaving important things behind.

Organizations sometimes outgrow a website platform, hosting provider, design system, or technical setup.

Everybody Connects can help evaluate and plan website migrations while protecting important content, URLs, search visibility, and functionality.

A migration should be planned—not treated like copying files from one server to another.

Potential migration work may include

  • Platform migrations
  • Hosting migrations
  • Domain and DNS coordination
  • Content migration
  • Image and document migration
  • URL mapping
  • Redirect planning
  • Form replacement
  • Analytics transition
  • Search-engine transition
  • Pre-launch testing

Accessibility & Usability

A nonprofit website should welcome as many people as possible.

Accessibility isn't simply a technical checkbox. It affects whether people can navigate your website, understand your content, complete forms, find services, or support your organization.

We work to incorporate established accessibility practices into website projects whenever practical.

Website projects should consider

  • Semantic structure
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Color contrast
  • Form labels
  • Alternative text
  • Heading structure
  • Focus states
  • Responsive behavior
  • Readable content
  • Accessible interactions

Fundraising, Forms & Integrations

Turn website visits into meaningful action.

A nonprofit website shouldn't only provide information. It should help people take the next step.

Where they make more sense than building custom systems, we favor existing trusted services and practical integrations.

Depending on your needs, projects may include or integrate

  • Donation platforms
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Contact forms
  • Volunteer forms
  • Newsletter signup
  • Event registration
  • CRM integrations
  • Email marketing tools
  • Payment platforms
  • E-commerce
  • Scheduling tools
  • Analytics

The right tool for the job

We don't start by choosing the platform.

WordPress, hosted website builders, content management systems, custom development, and modern web platforms can all be useful in the right situation. The best choice depends on the organization.

The goal isn't to put every nonprofit on the same technology. It's to choose technology the organization can successfully use.

We consider factors such as

  • What the website needs to do
  • Who will maintain it
  • Available budget
  • Internal technical experience
  • Integrations
  • Security
  • Accessibility
  • Long-term maintenance
  • Hosting requirements
  • Growth plans

How website projects work

Start with the organization—not the design.

  1. Step 1

    Understand

We learn about your organization, mission, audiences, current website, and what you're trying to accomplish.

  2. Step 2

    Plan

We determine the content, structure, functionality, and technology required for the project.

  3. Step 3

    Design

We create an experience that supports the organization's identity, content, audiences, and goals.

  4. Step 4

    Build

The website and necessary integrations are developed using the agreed approach.

  5. Step 5

    Test & Launch

We review responsive behavior, accessibility considerations, forms, links, content, redirects, and other launch requirements.

  6. Step 6

    Support

Depending on the project, Everybody Connects may help with hosting, maintenance, documentation, training, or transition planning.

A collaborative process

The best nonprofit websites are built with nonprofits—not just for them.

Nobody understands your mission, programs, supporters, and communities better than your organization. Website projects work best when we can collaborate with people who understand that work.

  • A Project Contact

Someone who can coordinate decisions and communication.

  • Content

Information about your organization, programs, mission, team, and services.

  • Brand Materials

Logos, colors, photography, guidelines, and other existing brand resources when available.

  • Access

Appropriate access to domains, hosting, existing websites, analytics, or third-party platforms when required.

  • Feedback

Timely review and decisions throughout the project.

Don't have all of this ready? That's okay.

Part of the planning process is identifying what exists, what's missing, and what needs to happen next.

Already have a website? Start there.

You don't need to know whether your website needs a redesign, migration, performance work, security improvements, or complete replacement. Tell us what's frustrating you, what isn't working, or what you'd like the website to do better.

We'll start with the problem.

Tell Us About Your Website

After launch

Launching the website isn't the end of its life.

Websites need updates, backups, monitoring, security attention, performance maintenance, and occasional troubleshooting. Everybody Connects may also be able to help organizations maintain and care for their websites after launch.

Our service model

Your website budget shouldn't determine whether you're allowed to ask for help.

Everybody Connects provides qualifying nonprofit technology services using a donation-based model.

Organizations are encouraged to contribute toward projects when they're able to, but limited resources should not prevent a nonprofit from telling us what it needs.

Every website request is reviewed individually based on organizational needs, project scope, available expertise, timing, and resources.

Start with the need. We'll talk about the project from there.
