Volunteer with Everybody Connects

Your skills can help strengthen a nonprofit.

The experience you use every day can make a meaningful difference to an organization that might not otherwise have access to it.

Everybody Connects brings skilled volunteers together with nonprofit technology and professional-service needs.

Give your skills. Share your experience. Strengthen a community.

Skills with purpose

What you know can become something another organization needs.

A few hours of the right expertise can sometimes save a nonprofit weeks of frustration.

Nonprofits often face the same technology, communication, design, security, and operational challenges as much larger organizations—but without the same access to specialized expertise.

That's where skilled volunteers can make a difference.

Everybody Connects creates opportunities for professionals to contribute their knowledge to practical nonprofit projects.

You don't have to know everything. You just need experience you're willing to share.

Who can help

It takes more than developers to make technology work.

Everybody Connects welcomes professionals from many different backgrounds. Technology projects often require a combination of technical, creative, operational, and communication skills.

Don't see your skill listed?

Nonprofits need expertise in many areas. If you have professional experience you think could help, we'd still like to hear from you.

Ways to contribute

Help in a way that fits your skills and availability.

  • Project-Based Help

Contribute expertise to a defined nonprofit technology or professional-services project.

  • Technical Guidance

Help an organization understand options, evaluate technology, or solve a specific challenge.

  • Reviews & Assessments

Use your expertise to review a website, technology setup, security configuration, accessibility, content, or process.

  • Specialized Expertise

Contribute professional skills that may only be needed for a particular stage of a project.

Volunteer opportunities depend on current nonprofit requests, project needs, available expertise, and volunteer availability. Not every volunteer will have an active project at all times.

How it works

From your expertise to nonprofit impact.

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about yourself

Share your professional experience, skills, interests, and availability.

  2. Step 2

We learn what you can help with

Your information helps us understand the types of projects that may fit your expertise.

  3. Step 3

    We identify a potential match

When an appropriate nonprofit need arises, Everybody Connects may contact you about the opportunity.

  4. Step 4

You decide whether it's a fit

Review the project, expectations, and timing before committing.

Applying to volunteer doesn't commit you to every project we send your way.

What we ask of volunteers

Professional expertise. Human approach.

  • Be Reliable

If you commit to a project or meeting, communicate clearly and follow through.

  • Respect the Organization

Nonprofit teams understand their missions and communities better than we do. Technology should support their work—not dictate it.

  • Explain, Don't Overwhelm

Help people understand technology without unnecessary jargon.

  • Protect Information

Treat organizational information, systems, credentials, and data responsibly.

  • Know Your Limits

It's okay to say when something falls outside your experience.
